Jonathan hancock

Co-Founder & president

Jonathan served for 8+ years in the United States Marine Corps.  Initially an infantryman making his way to squad leader, Jon deployed with Fox Company 2nd Bn 4th Marines in support of OIF II to Ramadi IZ.  Their unit incurred the highest number of casualties for any unit since Vietnam in the Battle of Ramadi in 2004. Following his time in the infantry, Jon laterally moved to a new MOS (0211) becoming a counterintelligence/Human intelligence specialist.  Jon completed another 6 deployments in support of special operations teams across the globe including Europe, Africa, Afg, and Iraq.

Jon left the marine corps honorably in 2009 and began schooling under the post 9/11 GiBill. Quickly the assimilation process found Jon drinking heavily and stopped going to classes to further his education.  After two DUI/s and a Suicide attempt, Jon embarked on a cross country walk to deal with his own thoughts of suicide and to meet members of his unit along the way. Jon also met with many of the gold star families of the 2/4 fallen from the battle of Ramadi. His journey can be seen in the aptly named documentary Bastards’ Road. Semper Fidelis!
